  1. ऐसे जीव जो आसमान या हवा में अपने पंखो की सहायता से उड़ते है उन्हें हम पक्षी कहते है।।
  2. पक्षी में सामान्यत कुछ चीजे एक ही होती है जैसे:- चोंच, नुकीले पंजे, पूंछ, शाररिक बनावट आदि।
  3. दुनिया का सबसे छोटा पक्षी हमिंग बर्ड है और सबसे बड़ा पक्षी शतुरमुर्ग है। जिसे आप चिड़ियाघर में आसानी से देख सकते है।
  4. सभी पक्षियों के रंग अलग अलग होते है। कुछ पक्षी इतने खुबसुरत और मनमोहक होते है की उन्हें पकड़ने का बहुत मन करता है।
  5. पक्षी शाकाहारी और सर्वाहारी दोनों होते है ये फल, अन्न और छोटे मोटे कीड़े खाते है।
  6. दुनियां में कई ऐसे पक्षी पाए जाते है जो मनुष्य की तरह बोलते भी है। जैसे:- सिटोरकू एरिथेकस, कैरेबियन नीला तोता
  7. पक्षियों को किसानों का रक्षक भी कहते है क्योंकि ये खेतो को नुकसान पहुंचाने वाले कीड़ों को खाकर खेत को बचाते है।
  8. कई पक्षियों में देखने की क्षमता इतनी तेज होती है की वे कई किलोमीटर दूर अपने शिकारी को देख सकते है। जैसे:- चील, बाज, गिद्ध आदि।
  9. पक्षी अपना अंडा घोसले में देते है। ये अपना घोसला पेड़ो पर पेड़ के कोटर में तो कुछ मनुष्य के घर में अपना घोसला बनाते है।
  10. सभी पक्षी देखने में बहुत सुंदर होते है। हमारे भारत में सबसे सुंदर पक्षी मोर है और ये हमारे भारत का राष्ट्रिय पक्षी भी है।

  1. कई पक्षी ऐसे होते है जो केवल रात में ही शिकार करते है उनको दिन में दिखाई नहीं देता है। जैसे:- चमगादड़, उल्लू आदि
  2. शिकारी पक्षी अधिक ऊंचाई तक उड़ने में सक्षम होते है तो कुछ अपनी निर्धारित ऊंचाई तक ही आसमान में उड़ सकते है।
