स्वर्ण मंदिर (गोल्डन टेम्प) इसे श्री हरिमन्दिर साहिब भी कहा जाता है। ये मंदिर भारत में स्थित पंजाब राज्य के अमृतसर शहर में स्थित है।
स्वर्ण मंदिर सिख धर्मावलंबियों का सबसे पावन धार्मिक स्थल या सबसे प्रमुख गुरुद्वारा है। ये देखने में बेहद ही खुबसूरत और आकर्षक है।
स्वर्ण मंदिर के निर्माण की नीव 1577 में गुरु राम दास के द्वारा रखी गयी। जबकि इसको बनाने वाले और नक्शा तैयार करने वाले सिखों के पांचवें गुरु गुरु अर्जुन देव जी थे।
पंजाब के राजा महाराजा रणजीत सिंह ने 19वी शताब्दी में इस मंदिर पर सोने की परत चढ़ाई और इसी वजह से इसे स्वर्ण मंदिर और इंग्लिश में गोल्डन टेम्प कहते है।
इस मंदिर की सबसे बड़ी बात ये है कि स्वर्ण मंदिर को कई बार नष्ट किया गया मगर भक्ति और आस्था के कारण सिक्खों ने इसे दोबारा बना दिया।
स्वर्ण मंदिर एक सरोवर के मध्य में स्थित है और इस सरोवर का निर्माण भी गुरु राम दास ने अपने हाथो से किया था।
इस मंदिर के निर्माण की शुरुआत 1581 में हुई और 1589 ये पूरी तरह बनकर तैयार हो गया मतलब इसे बनाने में पूरे आठ साल लग गए।
स्वर्ण मंदिर में आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं के लिए भी अच्छी व्यवस्था है। यहाँ लंगर श्रद्धालुओं के लिए 24 घंटे खुला रहता है। यहाँ भोजन में दाल, चावल, चपाती, अचार, सब्जी खीर, चाय और मठरी शामिल होती।
इस मंदिर के के दर्शन के लिए लाखों की संख्या में लोग आते है। जिंसमे भारत क साथ अन्य देशो के लोगो की अच्छी खासी भीड़ होती है।
भारत में मनाये जाने वाले पर्व जैसे:- शहीदी दिवस, सक्रांति, लोहरी और वैशाखी जैसे उत्सवो के धार्मिक कार्यक्रम भी यहाँ आयोजित किए जाते हैं।

स्वर्ण मंदिर के चारो और स्थित तालाब को अमृत सरोवर कहा जाता है। ऐसा बोला जाता है कि इस पवित्र जल में स्नान करने से कर्म शुद्ध हो जाते है और ये भी बोलता जाता है कि इसमें डुबकी लगाने से बीमारियां भी ठीक हो जाती हैं।
महाराजा रणजीत सिंह ने स्वर्ण मंदिर पर परत पहले 7 से 9 सोने की परतों का ही इस्तेमाल किया था। लेकिन धीरे-धीरे नवीनीकरण के बाद इसमें कुल 24 सोने की परतें चढ़ाई गई।
