  1. राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गाँधी जी का जन्म: 2 अक्टूबर 1869 गुजरात के पोरबंदर गाँव में हुआ। 
  2. गाँधी जी का पूरा नाम मोहनदास करमचंद गाँधी था। पिता का नाम करमचंद गाँधी और माता का नाम पुतली बाई था।
  3.  गांधीजी ने 4 सितम्बर 1888 में लन्दन की यूनिवर्सिटी कॉलेज से कानून की पढाई की और  बैरिस्टर बनने के लिये इंग्लैंड चले गये।
  4.  विदेश में गोर-काले रंग भेद की निति के कारण गाँधी जी को रेल की प्रथम बोगी से बहार निकल दिया गया।
  5. गाँधी जी का विवाह 13 साल की उम्र में कस्तूर बाई मकनजी जी कर दिया। इनकी चार संतान थी हरीलाल गान्धी, मणिलाल गान्धी, रामदास गान्धी और  देवदास गांधी।
  6. गाँधी जी ने सत्य और अहिंसा के हथियार के दम पर अंग्रेजो को भारत से बाहर का रास्ता दिखाया।
  7. गाँधी जी ने कई आन्दोलन चलाये जैसे:-  चंपारण और खेड़ा, असहयोग आन्दोलन, भारत छोड़ो आन्दोलन और नमक सत्याग्रह।
  8. गाँधी जी ने विदेशी वस्तुओ को बयोकट किया और दांडी गाँव जाकर अपने हाथो से  नमक बनाया और ब्रिटिश कानून का विरोध किया।
  9. गाँधी जी के द्वारा चलाये गये आन्दोलन से 15 अगस्त 1947 को भारत देश को अंग्रेजो से आजादी मिली।
  10. आजादी के कुछ ही दिन हुए थे की नाथूराम गोडसे ने गाँधी जी को गोली मारकर उनकी हत्या कर दी। गांधीजी की समाधी राजघाट (नयी दिल्ली) में स्थित है।

  1. गाँधी को राष्ट्रपिता नाम 6 जुलाई 1944 को रंगून रेडियो के माध्यम से सुभाष चाँद बोस ने दिया। 
  2. गाँधी जी के 6 सिद्धांत थे सत्य ,अहिंसा, शाकाहार, ब्रह्मचर्य, सादगी, और विश्वास।
  3. 2 अक्टूबर को गाँधी जी के जन्मदिन को गाँधी जयंती के रूप में पुरे भारत में हर साल सभी स्कूल और कॉलेज में धूमधाम के साथ मनाया जाता है। 
  4. गाँधी जी ने भारत के लिए पूर्ण स्वराज्य का सपना देखा था।
  5. गाँधी जी भलेही हमारे बीच नहीं हो मगर उनके कार्य और शिक्षा हमे आज भी सदमार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा देती है।

  1. The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in the village of Porbandar, Gujarat.
  2. The full name of Gandhiji was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Father’s name was Karamchand Gandhi and mother’s name was Putli Bai.
  3. Gandhiji studied law from the University College of London on 4 September 1888 and went to England to become a barrister.
  4. Due to the policy of white-black color discrimination in foreign countries, Gandhiji was thrown out of the first coach of the railway.
  5. Gandhiji was married at the age of 13 to Kastur Bai Makanji. They had four children Harilal Gandhi, Manilal Gandhi, Ramdas Gandhi and Devdas Gandhi.
  6. Gandhiji showed the British the way out of India on the basis of the weapon of truth and non-violence.
  7. Gandhiji started many movements like:- Champaran and Kheda, Non-cooperation Movement, Quit India Movement and Salt Satyagraha.
  8. Gandhiji boycotted foreign goods and went to Dandi village and made salt with his own hands and opposed the British law.
  9. India got independence from the British on 15 August 1947 due to the movement launched by Gandhiji.
  10. It was only a few days after independence that Nathuram Godse shot and killed Gandhiji. Gandhi’s Samadhi is located at Raj Ghat (New Delhi).
