  1. भारत का लाल क़िला, पुरानी दिल्ली में यमुना नदी के पास में स्थित है।
  2. दिल्ली के किले की दीवार लाल होने के कारण इसे लाल किला बोला जाता है, जो बाद में इसी नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ 
  3. लाल किले को 2007 में युनेस्को ने विश्व धरोहर स्थल के रूप में चयनित किया था।
  4. लाल किला भारत देश की आन-बान और शान है। ये देश की आजादी का प्रतीक है।
  5. लाल  किले को अपनी कल्पना शक्ति से डिजाइन करने वाले मुगल काल के प्रसिद्ध वास्तुकार उस्ताद अहमद लाहौरी थे और ताजमहल की डिजाइन भी इन्ही के द्वार की गयी थी । 
  6. लाल किले का निर्माण मुगल काल हुआ। इसके पांचवे मुगल शासक शाहजहां ने करवाया था। यह किला दिल्ली के बींच यमुना नदी के तट पर स्थित है।
  7. आपको आश्चर्य होगा की लाल किले के निर्माण का कार्य 1638 ईसवी में शुरू हुआ और 1648 में बनकर तैयार हुआ यानि इसे बनाने में 10 साल लगे। 
  8. लाल किले को बनाने में लाल बलुआ पत्थर और सफेद संगमरमर के पत्थरों का उपयोग हुआ था। इस किले को  बहुमूल्‍य रत्‍नों व सोने-चांदी से सजाया गया था, जिसे बाद में अंग्रेज लुट ले गये
  9. जब हमारा भारत देश अंग्रेजी से आजाद हुआ, तब लाल किले पर पहला झंडा पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी ने फहराया था।
  10. लाल किले के मुख्य केंद्र निम्न है जैसे:-लाहौरी गेट, दिल्ली गेट, मुमताज महल, रंग महल, खास महल, हीरा महल, मोती मस्जिद, दीवाने-ए-आम, दीवाने-ए-खास, हमाम, चट्टा चौक, नौबत खाना आदि।
