  1. गर्मियों की छुटियाँ मार्च से मई तक रहती है। इस समय लगभग सभी बच्चों की वार्षिक परीक्षा  समाप्त हो जाती है।
  2. गर्मियों की छुटियाँ लम्बे समय तक पढाई करने के बाद एक ब्रेक होता है। जिसमे तनाव से मुक्त होकर दिमाग को आराम देने और फ्रेश करने के लिए मनोरंजन करते है।
  3. गर्मियों की छुटियाँ में कई विद्यार्थी रिश्तेदारों के जाते है तो कुछ घर पर दोस्तों के साथ लूडो, सांप सीढ़ी, केरम और अन्त्राक्षी खेलकर छुटियाँ का पूरा आनन्द लिया जाता है।
  4. गर्मियों की छुटियाँ में मन पसंद कार्य करने और उसे सीखने का सुनहरा मौका मिलता है। जैसे:- गार्डनिंग, पेंटिंग, ड्राइंग, सिलाई आदि।
  5. गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में हमे एकांत में बैठकर अपने जीवन के लक्ष्यों को पूरा करने सम्बन्धी महत्वपूर्ण बातों पर विचार करना चाहिए और जिस विषय में हम कमजोर है उस पर ध्यान देना चाहिए और पढना चाहिए।
  6. सरकार गर्मियों की छुटियाँ इसलिए देती है क्योंकि बच्चे लम्बे समय तक लगातार पढ़ाई के तनाव से घिरे रहते हैं ऐसे में छुट्टियाँ मिलने से बच्चों का माइंड फ्रेश होता है और वे अगले साल मन लगाकर पढाई करते है।
  7. गर्मियों की छुटियाँ में घुमने जरुर जाना चाहिए क्योंकि ये हमारे शरीर के लिए जरुरी है। छुटियाँ में घुमने से हमे प्रकृति के सुंदर वातावरण को देखने और उसे महसूस करने नया मौहाल मिलता है।
  8. गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में घुमने से हमे महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी मिलती है साथ ही नयी जगह की जानकारी और वह होने वाली समस्याओं का पता चलता है जो भविष्य के लिए तैयार करती है।
  9. गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में विद्यार्थी को अधूरे सपने पुरे करने का मौका मिलते है जो रोजाना घर के काम और सुबह से शाम स्कूल में समय देने की वजह से नहीं मिल पाता है।
  10. गर्मियों की छुट्टियाँ एक बेहतरीन समय माना जाता है। सबसे अधिक खुशी विद्यार्थियों को  गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में होती है, क्योंकि विद्यार्थी रोजाना की दिनचर्य और लम्बे पढाई के तनाव से उब जाते है।
